Catalogue of Roscommon GAA Ephemera

Ephemera has been described as the transient material of everyday life. Most people call it junk? Ephemera is important as it tells historians how ordinary people spend their time. Ephemera includes tickets to the places they visited, posters that told them what was on, postcards that they sent to friends and election material, no longer important once the voting is over. Ephemera is considered collectable, but usually when it is old. Large collections exist in the National Library in Dublin and the Linen Hall Library in Belfast. There is even a Centre for Ephemera Studies in the University of Reading.

This is our collection of Roscommon (and some Connacht) GAA Ephemera. If you have any material of this nature that you no longer need, please contact us.   Images are not to scale.
