We don't intend to "compete" with anyone else to offer graveyard data on the web. There are excellent sites with this data already. One that we recommend is the Roscommon County Council supported database accessible via their website at http://www.roscommoncoco.ie/burialgrounds/search.aspx.

We do, however, have some unique data sources which are not available anywhere else. We developed the Athleague database for the Suck Valley Development Co-Operative Society Ltd. It is based on survey data in their possession. We thank them sincerely for allowing us to put the data on this site. We also thank Christopher Keane for allowing us to use his data from St. John's Parish, Lecarrow.

If your ancestors are buried in any of the following cemeteries, then follow the links below to check out the data.

Athleague Old Cemetery.

The New Graveyard, St. John's, Lecarrow.

Kilcommon Cemetery, Lecarrow (below).

Webmasters please note: All links to splash page at www.roscommonhistory.ie. No direct links to the database please.

We also have photographs from various graveyards in the county. These are from our own collection. Follow the links below for photographs of:

These two publications and a CD were produced by Roscommon County Council for a Graveyard Recording Seminar held in 2007.
