Apart from their obvious intention to remember the dead, Memorial and Remembrance Cards can be a useful source of genealogical information. While they usually contain only a small amount of family information, (relative to the religious detail on the card), they often have the only known surviving photograph of the individual, sometimes the woman’s marital status, and the address, age and date when the person died. This is very useful for people trying to trace their roots. This database contains a selection of memorial cards of people from Four Mile House. The names have been listed in alphabetical order. We welcome any additional information or unwanted cards, contact us. |
