This is our collection of non-party political ephemera for Co. Roscommon. This collection is strictly for the ephemera enthusiast. Most of these items are difficult to come by, because they are examples of true ephemera - intended to be used for one day only and then discarded or destroyed. A newspaper report from The Roscommon People regarding the First Dáil (1918) and Roscommon County Council invitation to a display in the County Library of materials from the first local elections in 1899. This is the reason why enthusiasts collect this material - so that something will survive to be recounted and displayed in the next hundred years!
