Roscommon Historical Research is a business name. For security reasons we prefer to use this name on the site. We are primarily interested in collecting because of our passion for history and Roscommon history in particular. This is the overriding purpose for all of our actions. When you contact us by email we guarantee a personal reply.

Access to our collection: This website is in essence a catalogue of our collection. Unless otherwise stated on the site all the items illustrated or listed are in our archive. We are particularly interested in helping others who are doing research on Co. Roscommon. Bona-fide researchers can contact us if we have material that they are interested in and we will facilitate their research. There is no charge for this service, other than a promise to give us a copy of the completed research project for our archive.

Additional copies of material & Other services: We occasionally have duplicate copies of material which we would like to trade with other like minded people. Contact us if you are interested.

We sometimes offer duplicate items for sale. Most modern items are offered at cost price plus a small commission (plus post and packaging at or near cost). (The commission is to help our collection grow and we think it a fair price for the service). Occasionally, if the item is rare or unusual we might offer it at the current market value. The money received is reinvested in the collection.
