My name is Liam Byrne and I live
in South Roscommon in Ireland. Roscommon Historical Research is
my hobby. My pastime is history -
Roscommon history in particular and I am primarily interested in collecting
publications, documents and ephemera of all kinds
relating to the county of
Roscommon and Roscommon people everywhere. I will buy,
trade or swap for items or provide a good home for your

This website is in essence a catalogue of
my collection. Unless otherwise stated on the site all the
items illustrated or listed are in the archive. I am
particularly interested in helping others who are doing
research on Co. Roscommon. Bona-fide researchers can
contact me if I have material that they are interested
in and I will facilitate their research as much as I
can. There is no charge for this service, (other than a
promise to give me a copy of the completed project for
the
archive).
