Coursing.  

The sport of coursing was once a popular pastime in Roscommon. This is the only coursing item currently in our collection. We would love to have photographs, documents and ephemera for coursing events in the county? If you have such material that you no longer require and would like to give it a good home .. please contact us.

 

Boyle Coursing Meeting. Park Meeting (Under I.C.C. Rules) On Monday 11th. February 1929.

 

Four pages, card. Patrons include Lorde de Freyne and Sir Thomas Stafford. Four races: The Fortwilliam Stake, The Boyle Stake, The Dunamese Stake & The Greatmeadow Stake. Strokestown Coursing Club advertisement for meeting on 21st. February.
