The Roscommon People Newspaper.

The First Issue.

Tidy Towns Supplement.

The Roscommon People newspaper is the new kid on the block, so far as Roscommon papers are concerned. It was launched on 16 February 2007 under the editorship of Paul Healy, former editor of The Roscommon Champion, and his wife Fiona.

The Roscommon People is unusual in so far as it is a "Free Paper" paid for by advertisements. It is printed in "tabloid" format.

The People website is at www.roscommonpeople.ie

The Roscommon People is the sponsor of the annual Annie McNulty Awards presented by South Roscommon Singers Circle. Paul Healy, its editor, is also the editor of Roscommon Life magazine.

We have a small collection of The Roscommon People newspaper in our archive. We do not systematically collect every edition but we do keep special editions and masthead changes.

We have the following single issues: 16 February 2007, 23 February 2007 and 3 March 2007 (the first three issues).
