John Hunter, from Queensland, Australia, has been researching his wife's Roscommon ancestry for many years. In 2004 John decided to help others with their research and brought out his first data CD "Resource County Roscommon Ireland - Databases, Source Material and Maps for Local & Family Historians". This CD was very well received and it was followed in 2006 by Disk 2, an updated version of the original. In 2009 a third and much improved edition appeared.

In 2007 John brought out a Second Edition with updated and enhanced databases and much additional material.
