St. John's Community Centre was opened in 1984 and celebrated it's 21st. birthday in 2005. This year, it's 25th., saw the addition of a fine new set of buildings to the original structure. The new section was officially opened on 5th. April 2009 by Minister Michael Finneran TD.

Kevin Coyle, Chairman of the Hall Committee welcomes everyone. Fr. Donal Morris CC St. John's blesses the new building. Minister Michael Finneran makes his speech and unveils a plaque.

Over the years the Centre has been used for a range of Local Community Events. The following ephemera gives a flavour of the types of events held there:

A booklet produced for the 21st. Anniversary in 2005, a programme for the Scouts Investiture in 2009, a poster for the 21st. Anniversary function and a poster for the Official Opening in 2009.

Tickets for a Fundraising Social for Fr. Brendan McDonagh's Mission in Africa and for Fr. Pat Brennan's Missions in Brazil. A ticket for the Mike Denver Concert, held in aid of the Community Centre Building Fund in 2008.
